Roger Griffiths and Leighton Hughes join 9 Park Place Chambers

Roger Griffiths and Leighton Hughes have both joined 9 Park Place from Temple Chambers, Cardiff to join our expanding Criminal Team.

Roger was called in 1983 and is a CPS Grade 4 prosecutor whose practice now covers matters of the utmost seriousness or sensitivity including murder and other offences of serious violence, drug conspiracies, fraud and serious sexual offences. He specialises in covert surveillance cases involving the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and is a legal advisor to police disciplinary panels.

Leighton was called in 1989 and is also a Grade 4 prosecutor who is regularly instructed in cases of utmost severity, including murder, rape, manslaughter and complex frauds. He is experienced in representing sensitive cases and is frequently first choice when defending and prosecuting legal professionals, police officers and doctors. The two new members join the 30 strong Criminal Law team at 9 Park Place Chambers, which is led by David Elias.
